A captivating and considered design has taken advantage of parklands with angled and directed balconies, whilst transforming old laneways and now providing a sense of security for the local community. The challenges of a sloping sight and overshadowing of neighbours were addressed with raked walls and broken building form in between townhouses; in turn producing an architectural delight with a lack of bulk throughout its first level.
With open plan living areas and north facing balconies overlooking parklands, we managed to achieve superb internal amenities for occupants whilst keeping a balance of multi-unit development yield for the land size. The project consisted of four townhouses with two bedrooms downstairs, European laundries and a bathroom.
A combination of more than seven external materials were integrated seamlessly throughout the building process with cathedral ceilings, raked walls and architectural skylights.
As the development was an investment project for our client, careful cost analysis and planning was paramount in achieving a balance between construction flamboyance, quality and durability.
